Re: Paul, I have been doing some reading, and I have realized Christianity is almost entirely a Pauline invention. Paul himself wrote that James (Jesus's brother) and Peter (one of the twelve apostles) did not agree with him and only met him once, maybe twice. Paul never met Jesus in actual life.
Here’s a fun top five: things that are consensus among historians but are essentially unknown by the public. Richard I, a bad king of England. Roman Empire, fell in 1453. Paul, more important than Jesus. Witch burning, a modern phenomenon not a medieval one. Britain last invaded in 1688. Yours?
As someone who wrote a dissertation on that damnable Frenchman; one can only hope.

And, to add to this: there are also no rules about who you can be. You can make up a new person to be, and see how that person engages with others. You can change both how you behave and who you are. Nobody can stop you.
when you realize the world has no "rules" in how to engage with others, it's way more fun because you can make your own rules that challenge the traditional takes that might make you feel anxious in these situations

No borders, UBI, education should be free at any age, every office should be union lead or all decisions democratically made by workers, abolish prisons, free housing, healthcare and food.
If we take the "it'll be too hard to tell who you're talking about" argument against they/them personal pronouns to it's logical conclusion, we arrive at "everyone should have their own unique pronoun set". Which, has a certain appeal. Or maybe I just want my own unique pronoun set.

So it turns out... the US air travel system was incredibly, deeply dependent on federal funding to just run day-to-day all this time, to the benefit of private airline shareholders, when everyone thinks that state-run trains are leeching off the government. Weird!

It's pretty wild to me that investigators have uncovered that anti-trans campaigns are largely funded by the fossil fuel industry, and that the presumed motivations are pretty directly to redirect the public conversation away from climate change... and that this isn't bigger news.
