Worth reminding/repeating: yes, there are "red" demographics, but almost every state has a substantial Democratic voting population and has voted a Democrat for US Senate or President in our lifetimes; much of the R winning streak in these states is local hegemony + voter suppression
As long as Nebraskans keep voting Republican to, you know, keep some trans kid from a swim meet or whatever, this won’t be the last town in the state to face economic collapse.
