While it seems less and less likely that PFAS will deliver my favourite human extinction scenario, this study at least leaves the door open, metaphorically speaking.

I see there’s a post about microplastics going around with a photo of drinking straws, so here is my semi-regular reminder that the 3 biggest sources of microplastics are tires (45%), synthetic clothing particles (35%) and paint (~10%).

Police shot him, and bystanders kicked him in the head while he was down, thinking he was the terrorist.

When you think about this cultural norm informing norms in every other sphere in this country, from pay equity decisions to routinely hounding women/NB folks out of politics, to vast differences in ability to buy a first home, to healthcare access & prioritisation, to inequitable policy… it’s dire.
