If my fav bar got bought by a Nazi who ran CSAM on a screen over the bar, screamed about trans people from behind it and hosted revenge porn nights, I’d stop going and I’d be surprised if my local reps and Prime Minister kept leaving messages I need to read on the stall door of the backed up toilet.
In case you've seen the story about “grok now only generates images for paid users”, it's untrue. Apparently everyone just reported it because… it was what grok told them 🤦🏼

No, Grok hasn’t paywalled its deepfake image feature

Canada, like other western states, is worried about alienating Trump. But that just invites isolation next time, when it's your turn over the barrel, and everyone else stays silent for fear of alienating Trump.

Democracies worthy of the name must stand together for the rule of law, or fall apart.

per binding SCOTUS precedent the U.S. has jurisdiction to try foreign defendants on federal charges after intentionally kidnapping, drugging, and TORTURING them so long as their country does not have a treaty with us which specifically prohibits us from doing those things.

Very legal, very cool!

One of the most important tools in the lawyer’s persuasive toolbox is framing. Take this excellent example, from my toddler, earlier today;

“Please don’t take away my toys!”

“Please don’t take away…the toys…that *Santa* gave me.”

There have been some very scathing dissents over the years, but I can't think of one where the accusation is so bluntly made that the majority is a bunch of partisan hacks who are politically subservient to a president.
May this portion of the dissent by Ketanji Brown Jackson haunt John Roberts forever and be the final word on his tenure as Chief Justice.

I am shocked—shocked!—that Doug Ford of all people would lie about this.
When the Ford government announced that it was forcing the Somerset West Community Health Centre to close its supervised consumption site, they quoted unsourced stats about local crime rates. They lied. Crime actually went down significantly when the CTS was open.
Crime rate around Somerset supervised consumption site lower than government suggested when announcing closure
The crime rate around the Somerset West Community Health Centre did not rise to the figures put forward by the provincial government last year when announcing the closure of its supervised consumption...

During the 1970s, an arson wave ravaged poor communities across the US. Some lost 80% of their housing. Residents were blamed.

In reality, landlords—paid by insurers and enabled by the state—drove this arson-for-profit epidemic.
