Similar to people demanding troops patrol Ward 8, Detroit is not an actual place for a lot of people. It’s a stand-in for “urban blight” and “Black crime” so they’re very cavalier about suggesting a little more racism be directed there as a valve to their political problems.

I work for a large corporation (not tech) that built its own AI solution, told its managers to make sure we use it, and has been monitoring usage to ensure compliance. Anyone not using it will get fired.
Our CEO just sent an email saying she was amazed to see how many of us were using the program

Tech companies are pretending they have high adoption rates, when in reality they are just making AI a required part of the services they provide. The companies and individual people who use the tech would NOT choose AI otherwise. It is one of the biggest grifts of all time.

The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse.
I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email
