Everyone in Chicago saw how close this violence was if you interacted with these federal agents. There’s several photos of them directly pointing their weapons at members of the press. They will not stop their violence because that is their actual purpose. They exist to terrorize us into submission.

The first gun control laws were enacted in post-civil war south to keep black ppl from owning them. Often Reagan is credit with the first, but Jim Crow really gets that honor.

this is the key problem with continuously executing random members of the populace: you can’t kill everybody, and the ones you don’t kill are more likely to start squaring with the possibility of it than fleeing in terror
Only speaking personally, but today’s execution isn’t scaring me from protecting our neighbors, as some suggest is ICE’s goal. Nor am I angry with incandescent rage, in that I know such rage is unhelpful. Rather, I feel like it has forced me to truly accept that the same fate might befall me.
