Will be mostly dragon age, books, hockey, knitting, and occasional dog pictures (and Wheel of Time!!)
A few days ago I made a grooming appointment for Indy since he's starting to shed (so much). Appointment is tomorrow - he may be a cold dog for a few days? Jumped the gun on this one.
Seeing any flurries or snowflakes this morning? Temperatures are right around freezing in the Puget Sound with light showers entering the area. Heavier precipitation along the coast likely in the form of rain. #wawx

Let me just make a few little adjustments to that title…

Way to devalue my experience.

As an fyi to others born in the early 80s - mumps was what I had zero immunity to when I had a titer done before getting the MMR again.
Measles is a bellwether. Because it’s the most contagious vaccine-preventable disease, when vaccination rates drop, it’s the first to start spreading.

Now we’ve got mumps rolling up.

Expect more.

This is just the beginning of RFK Jr.’s successful infectious disease reintroduction plan.

The play Pete took me to was Or by Liz Duffy Adams at the Seattle Rep but the play (opera) we quote the most at each other is The Tales of Hoffman. There's a guy that sings "BUY MY EYES" at one point and we're going to reference that forever.
My husband took me to a matinee play and then we got lunch. Met online so I had evening plans with friends in case I needed an excuse to leave but I ended up taking him with me to Roller Derby with my friends.

I bought a couple of whistles for me and my husband. Got them yesterday and my dog was so disapproving when I tested them in the house. Can confirm - very loud.
I've finally managed to do some shop restock, so I'm going to schedule a thread today that showcases some of our favorite new (and old!) items.

Starting of course with the whistles. YOU CAN GET 100 WHISTLES FOR FREE at the link in my bio. But if you want THESE ones from US:

How can they treat anyone like this but especially children. I'm so angry.
On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.

JFC I've heard that Fetterman is considering supporting the SAVE act. It's a disaster of a bill that would create sweeping disenfranchisement.

Whoever your senators are, I don't care, call them. I don't wanna hear if you think they definitely will or won't support this, take 3 minutes & call.

If Bondi was a bitch using her bitchiness to block the administration she worked for from violating the civil rights of immigrants despite pressure from Trump, we'd all love her.

So clearly the problem isn't that she's a bitch.

The problem is that she's a hateful, cruel, incompetent, corrupt bigot

I keep saying lawyers are going into battle on the front lines every damn day and it matters, it matters so much. Here's a thread from one who never wanted to do immigration law but is doing it anyway under the worst circumstances.
I don’t really know what I expect in posting this, but maybe some people see it and can learn from it.

I’ll call it “lessons from an unwilling immigration attorney.”
