REPUBLICAN @SenBillCassidy shows an ounce of courage and calls for a state and federal investigation into the “incredibly disturbing” killing of Alex Pretti

(Also @washingtonpost.com we fixed your other headline for you — “raises questions” is far too generous for these DHS lies)

The perils of ambidextrous handshaking?

This is Trump’s left hand.

If there’s something wrong with the President’s health, the public needs to know about it.

Tierra Walker knew that abortion was illegal in Texas, but she thought that hospitals could make an exception for patients like her, whose health was clearly on the line.

At 20 weeks pregnant, she died of preeclampsia.
Women With High-Risk Pregnancies Have Limited Options Under Abortion Bans
Our reporting has found that abortion bans generally don’t include exceptions that cover health concerns pregnant women with chronic conditions can face — or if they do, doctors aren’t using them.

Seriously, @people.com has been meeting the moment better than 90% of publications with direct reporting and crystal clear headlines.

This is a good way for the low-information voters who are usually detached from the news cycle to get turned around.

(Politico) In Jack Smith's hearing today, the GOP hammered more on technicalities and did not argue the facts of the case against Trump. As long as they avoided the evidence (possibly wise for them) they really didn't land punches on Mr. Smith.

Republicans tried to snag Jack Smith on technicalities. But they didn’t engage with the facts.
Instead of focusing on the crux of the former special counsel’s Trump cases, GOP House members questioned him on process.
