The former Wizard employee group chat has been on this all afternoon, and personally I'm at the stage where I'm trying to figure out if this is more or less embarrassing than the time he went on the Tyra Banks talk show.
BREAKING NEWS:
Gareb Shamus was on the latest episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Here he is on a speed date with Rachel Zoe, claiming he started Comic Con.

Reserving judgment until I see it with mine own eyes, but this could be A Holiday Miracle.
GAREB SHAMUS WAS ON A REAL HOUSEWIVES?!?!?!?!?

If she really remembered them she wouldn't be rushing to show her children.
A mom buying TWISTED TOYFARE THEATER books from me because she remembered the strips from TOYFARE Magazine as a kid and wanted to show her children. Anyway, in conclusion, I'm old.

I am mindful as ever that pop-culture people’s politics takes can be ill-informed but they cannot remotely compete with politics people’s bad culture takes
I was asked what I thought now that #pluribus has reached seven episodes.
I’m not seeing any of the liberal subtext some folks are seeing. But I’ve learned to watch the show by fast forwarding through the long, artsy stretches where no one speaks.
There were exactly 2 lines of interesting dialogue.

Sliding down the wrong timeline ever since.
25 years ago today, SCOTUS elected George W Bush president of the United States by blocking completion of a voting canvass in Florida. A subsequent canvass by the Associated Press showed that Bush's rival, Al Gore, had won the race in Florida—and thus the contest for the presidency—by 700 votes.

Can't even describe the Proust's Madeleine moment I had when I recently saw footage from Tonic Trouble, a game I used to have kids play when I was a camp "computer counselor" and which I had completely forgotten about.

for too long, the left wing in this nation has put forward only candidates who represent the "young and cool" or "curmudgeonly" identity groups

finally, lame middle-aged left-wing parents have a candidate we can see ourselves in

Look my comic doesn’t have a Spider-Man in it or a Superman in it, and it’s not by what I’d call a “comics luminary” and it doesn’t have dozens of variant covers, and it’s not technically even a physical object (yet) BUT

It’s got an iron baseball bat and it’s pretty great

Gosh, remember when every other Saturday morning cartoon was based on a comedian for some reason? This one, Camp Candy, Ed Grimley, Howie Mandel's Bobby's World (which was actually pretty good?)...
Sometimes I wonder “why in God’s name did the Louis Anderson Saturday morning cartoon LIFE WITH LOUIE get made?” but then I remember the blockbuster sales of the Louis Anderson action figure line, and it makes more sense

I thought I had a joke about Prometheus. It's really gnawing at me.
I had a joke about Sisyphus but I’m struggling to reach the punchline.
I had a joke about Narcissus but I got distracted by something I saw.

Finally modern audiences will get to experience what Star Wars was like before they got an Englishman to dub over Alec Guinness’s New Jersey accent

Yet another pop culture reference I never experienced but knew through the elder Gen X writers of Twisted ToyFare Theatre. (We'd go on to include Space Lincoln in strips I wrote, as references became self-referential.)

So thrilled to see ALTER EGO out in paperback today!

Eternally proud of this standalone sequel to SECRET IDENTITY, which was an immediate USA TODAY-bestseller, Anthony Award-nominee, and got rave reviews from all over.
