Watched the freely-available first episode of PLURIBUS and it's as good as I feared so now I have to wait for it to get some kind of physical release or be put up for digital sale outside of Apple TV because I am *not* signing up for yet another streaming service.

Huh, a 1-star review for the shop that just says "Mike your attitude sucks," so I'm guessing this is a person I asked not to put comics back in the wrong place or to leave their drink outside , etc.

Don't recognize the person's name, so there's a good chance they've never even been to the shop.

A few years back I became briefly obsessed with the fact that DC’s SANDMAN and Marvel’s SLEEPWALKER, two very different comics about characters from the dream realm, were being published concurrently…these pieces were the result.

Instead of going to bed, I went to a random post on my site and fixed a couple of typos and hey, it's actually not a bad entry, I think. I talk about CRISIS and Byrne's MAN OF STEEL and the excitement around these comics at the time.

Trying to get stuff in order for my blog's coming anniversary post since I'm going to have that long-delayed eyeball operation right before it goes up and I may not be in the condition to stare at a computer screen to get it ready.

You know, the smart move would have been to stop blogging in 2010.

My friend Brook brought in a binder of punk/indie band show flyers from the mid-ish 1980s, which was amazing to flip through. Included was a flyer for a 45 Grave show in Santa Barbara with Harvey Sid Fisher as an opening act.

Who is Harvey Sid Fisher, you may ask?

Very tired of companies making it hard for consumers to identify and buy their books. I can't spend my time making shelf labels for *every* comic that refuses to have the actual title somewhere on the cover.
Come on! It would be super easy to just stack the logos. Wouldn't even take any extra space.

Look, I did this in under a minute and I don't even have the files in layers.

in which we look back at one of the great missed opportunities of 80s Marvel - a book designed to tap the zeitgeist of an era’s stylish crime entertainment, the brainchild of writer Martha Thomases and the great Tony Salmons … abruptly canceled after a measly five issues. 🤪

STAR WARS X, but it's a direct sequel to the Holiday Special with all-Wookiee dialogue
If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.
