With Maura and the Kid out at my FIL's place, I was able to do the washing up while rocking out to Led Zeppelin II and IV.

The Kid is really amped up about Thanksgiving this year.

Made a tres leches Oreo cake and mac & cheese, and is planning to wear a dress when they go to see Maura’s family.

My criteria is whatever TBS/TNT/USA/Comedy Central dumped into a later afternoon timeslot on a Thanksgiving from 1992-2002 and I was too bloated and lazy to change the channel.
It's always weird when people discuss what a "Thanksgiving movie" is. It's whatever movie you decide to watch on Thanksgiving. Beyond the Valley of the Dolls can be a Thanksgiving movie if your heart wants it.

I periodically feel the urge to incorporate [X] into TARDISv4’s library of retrojunk.

The current value of [X] being “DOS shareware SHMUPs.”

I had never noticed that the Smoke & Munch on Putney Road in Brattleboro, Vermont has a mobile unit. I do not know what that sunglasses-wearing hot dog is doing behind that bush that is causing his Pepsi to spill over, nor do I want to.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, MUNCH'S MOBILE HOT DOG!

Right on.

A full English translation patch for Koei's Progenitor, a 1994 visual novel/RPG/strategy game for the PC98 that plays a little like Uncharted Waters....IN SPAAAAAAAACE.

Oh, hey, a 1993 episode of VH1's Pop Quiz tacked on the end of a bunch of unchanging Country and Video Rewind episodes.

My take on "Thanksgiving Movies" is that they don't have to be about the holiday but are movies that get associated with by individual viewers and/or their families for various reasons.

So for me, it's Blast from the Past and anything I watched at Pinehurst Drive-In as a kid.

Yes.
Could this be 1975’s Marvel new character of the year?

On Thanksgiving Eve 1999, Lil Bro came back from Amherst late and suggested we catch a midnight showing of The World Is Not Enough.

He later confessed he wanted to see my reaction to the cringe-unnedo dialogue -- especially the final line -- and I didn't disappoint him.

34 years ago today I walked out of classes and met a HS friend at Malden Station, after hitting up Excalibur Hobbies for a Champions sourcebook.

We had lunch at a Chinese place and I depressed the hell out of her because I was reeling about getting abruptly dumped by my GF two days earlier.
24 years ago I went with my friend and his then girlfriend to see the film "Black Knight" and then, afterwards, tried in vain to find anywhere that was open the night before Thanksgiving to eat. So a happy Black Knight day to you all.

I am enjoying the spectacle of folks who can’t seem to grasp how much folks hate them make plans as if they have an eternal mandate.

Very fitting for this era of catastrophic unforced errors.

To commemorate my Pilgrim ancestry, and the fact my forebears founded the town HPL based Innsmouth upon before decamping to settle the region of Maine made famous by King, here’s my grandpa’s cousin writing about searching for our ancestral home:
