The "R.R." in J.R.R. Tolkien stands for "Ruff Ryder". Same as George R.R. Martin, weird enough. He/Him

Man goes to doctor. Says he’s depressed.

Doctor says “great clown pagliacci is in town. Go see him. You’ll feel better”

Man says “but doctor, don’t you mean great magician clown *throws smoke bomb on floor and when it clears he is in full clown getup* PAGLIACCI!”

Doctor:
Lucille bluth saying “Pagliacci!!”

NO-TELL MOTEL is so back.

The Employee Bundle is BACK in stock, and now includes the Door Hanger for when you wanna tell people to slink away or slink inside.

Keychains, door hangers, "Dice Trays" still available a la carte. Matchbooks with every order.

Check in: bannerless.games/shop
The No-Tell Motel bundle on a wood grain desktop. It features a copy of No-Tell Motel, two keychains with the logo on one side and "7" inside a star on the other, the door hanger with Stella the cover model saying "Shhh...." and the Dice Tray, which is clearly an ash tray. The No-Tell Motel "Dice Tray," which has the logo in the bottom and "sleep among the stars at the Stellar Motel!" on the rim. Two sides of the Room 7 Keychain, which is royal blue with gold embossing and a gold ring. One side is the No-Tell Motel key logo, the other is "7" in the No-Tell Motel star, for room 7. The No-Tell Motel door hanger. On one side Stella the cover model says "Shhh...." and the other side says "Please clean! It looks like someone died in here!"

I have the same thing with the Iliad, where too often people want Hector to be the good guy, but he shares a lot of Akhilleus' flaws, just to a lesser extent.

Since I discussed it on Ajax, figured I'd drop the link for my (and Marlene's) improv shows at iO in Chicago on the 25th and 26th! She's in both shows on Saturday; I'm in the 5:30 on Sunday. ci.ovationtix.com/36725/produc...

Honest to god, the average amateur DIY podcast is ten times less aggravating than a drive time DJ.

Driving back from my parents through rural Surry county reminds me about Flannery O'Connor referring to the South as Christ-haunted.

The "cognitive decline and brain damage from repeat COVID infections" and "easy to use robot that makes slop and melts your critical thinking skills" is a hell of a combo in a post-fact media ecosystem

Props to Rockstar for building a huge media empire where the first few hours of your encounter with it are you trying to figure out controls while The Most Annoying Man Who Has Ever Lived ceaselessly berates you for not being an expert already

Worked up a poster for Sinners - that cross section of horror movies, period pieces, and roots music checks an awful lot of my boxes, and heavens but it was beautifully made.
A desaturated blue (just glancing at green from across the street), black, and yellow-orange poster. It features Miles Caton in the middle playing his guitar, shadowed faces of Michael B. Jordan on either side of him (with the Stack character sporting the orange echoed elsewhere for his gold tooth). At the bottom, in heavy shadows, is the vampire band, and behind them, silhouettes lit by flame, are line-dancing figures with glowing eyes. Their shape suggests that a few of them are characters from the movie: Mary, Pearline, Cornbread, and Bo Chow. There are credits, an R rating, and a Warner Brother's logo at the bottom and above the film's title (done in an old timey flashy saloon font that might befit a juke joint) is the text "A film by Ryan Coogler."

Honestly the most relatable news story ever, especially the going for a carvery in the middle.
