Folks are fighting about "metroidvania" again, and the thing is as soon as you use terms like that and "roguelike" and other inside basebally stuff, you have conceded that you're only interested in talking to existing fans. Which is fine.

After years of Yakuza fans (myself included) acting like it's a series in danger despite getting a new release every year, Yakuza/Like a Dragon is finally successful enough to actually stink, make terrible decisions, and should go away.

I wrote a really gushing review of this one ten years ago. I doubt my prose still holds up, but I bet the game does.
Ten years ago today we shipped Firewatch. I say this every anniversary but it feels both like a lifetime ago and like it was yesterday. Thank you everyone who played it back then or played it today for the first time. Thank you to everyone on the team, I’m still so proud of what we made.

Bad Bunny's performance was very Puerto Rican and also very, very, VERY East Coast. As Kendrick's performance was both Black and West Coast. These people are mad at distinctly American performances because they don't like the color of the box the gift came in.

So when Tommy and Timmy talk, do you think they say the same thing simultaneously but the one is a beat late, or do you think only one says the sentence and the other just pops on to emphasize the last word.

Horizon Hunters Gathering looks neat, but I have no interest in multiplayer Monster Hunter stuff. Maybe I'll do the story single player? It already looks like they're aiming for one of those "game that's a part time job" things. The preview trailer is hilariously Dreamsworksy.

Utter chaos in the Kickstarter comments for Final Girl Series 4, mainly because they already released some of the material for S4, and folks are all over the place as to what they already bought and what is included in the Kickstarter tiers/add-ons without double-buying.
