Neighbor watched as two women were apprehended by Border Patrol in Charlotte, NC. The agents smashed their car window and zip tied them. Both are US citizens. Their crime was honking the horns of their vehicles to alert their community that ICE was in the area. How is that a crime? Crazy! 🤬

The misery embedded in this bill will immiserate millions for as far as the eye can see. Like the ACA, you really gotta pass it to see what’s in it. And it’s not going to have a 60% approval rating 16 years from now.

jon is right, of course, and at some point, the rest of the country will need to get in the fight if they want to have the benefits of public health, like not dying a lot. our workers are burned out after a decade of abuse, turmoil, & violence. we don’t grow on trees, and we can’t do this alone
I hope people can understand that we have no power unless we organize.

If the people invested in justice-oriented public health practice and policy do not organize themselves with a strategy rooted in analysis of power, it's game over for the field.
This is designed to tank public health & primary care by excluding public health professions, advanced nursing practice, physical & occupational therapy from loans that can cover the cost of education. This is going to make an existing workforce crisis worse.

Reminder that Starbucks’ CEO made 6,666x more than the company's median employee in 2024.

This was the widest CEO-to-Worker pay gap in the entire S&P 500.

And we're supposed to believe Starbucks can't afford to bargain a fair contract with its unionized workers?
As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Anyway a great way to radicalize people is for them to realize that you just abandoned their chance at being able to access and afford health care because you didn’t like waiting in line at the airport.

Why is the "we must be united!" hectoring directed at people who are mad at the Cavers and not to the Cavers? Everyone who's mad was united, then the Cave Caucus walked across the aisle and betrayed what the public had been told was the Dem position.
The sooner we get past internal recriminations and back to fighting united, the better off we all are — the likelier our victory next November.
