I think the misogynist contempt that’s evident as a motivation in the murder of Renee Good makes her killing by a state actor more similar to so-called private violence—eg domestic violence homocides—than some arguments that rely on a firm distinction between state and private violence can sustain.

...they never miss even the smallest opportunity to make it about them. L'etat, c'est moi.
Chris Murphy: "The amount of training that's given to an ICE officer has been cut in half by this administration. The number of days of training they get are 47. You know why they get 47 days? As an homage to the vanity of POTUS. No wonder the number of violent incidents are going through the roof."

WSJ investigation: In the past 6 months ICE agents have fired at vehicles 13 times, leading to:

* 8 people shot
* 5 of which were U.S. citizens
* 2 died
* no victims drew a weapon

The playbook: Agents box in a vehicle, block attempts to flee, then fire

A WSJ visual investigation found that the Minneapolis ICE killing is one of 13 incidents where federal immigration agents have used deadly force against civilians in vehicles since July.

Premiering a documentary about your (third) wife at the state theater you just named after yourself. Sure, that's normal in a democracy.
I remember when the Kennedy Center celebrated interesting people with talent. How far it has fallen.

This is excellent reporting. So good to read long form, thoughtful and thorough journalism:
64 days in Chicago: The story of Operation Midway Blitz. Our team fanned out to cover the before, during and after of the federal government’s months-long raid on an American city. This is worth your time to understand the United States today

64 days in Chicago: The story of Operation Midway Blitz
President Donald Trump’s federal immigration enforcement operation led to most surreal autumn in Chicago history. What happened during those 64 days will be remembered for a long time.

Its fun when your niece and nephew are now adults and you can introduce them to the finer things in life, like a beautifully made negroni.

Narcissists are so predictable.
South Park called it, and it’s hilarious.

One of the creators purchased the Trump Kennedy Center URL address before the name was even changed because they know Trump’s narcissism is in the driver’s seat.

Trump’s America.

Mubashir is a 20-year-old Minneapolis resident and a U.S. citizen. ICE assaulted him and grabbed him off the street anyway.

Cruelty and incompetence, and an unlawful detention. A kidnapping. ICE gets to do this with zero accountability.

The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

great analogy:
Giving Trump what he wants is like feeding a seagull. All you have done is teach him that he can get more.
The White House’s new anti-media website includes denunciations of:

-ABC, which bribed the president
-CBS, which bribed the president and moved away from fact-based journalism trying to appeal to him and his fans
-WaPo, which spiked a Harris endorsement and tilts coverage in Trump’s favor

Fools.
