Source: Jazz Weekly. On one level, I’m grateful for having had a path set before me so I can get up and practice every day, and know that I’m growing. But on another level, and I don’t mean to sound corny, but just to see somebody else smile, knowing all of the horrible things that are going on in the world. There’s still reasons for being happy. That, on one level, gives me as much or more joy; knowing that somebody is happy about something.
