Netflix’s MY SECRET SANTA isn’t just bad, it’s nigh on unwatchable. Beyond being not credible, everyone in it is creepy af, like the teen daughter not just failing to recognize her own mom but being very invested in her love life. But even worse is the male lead’s deranged obsession with Santa. Ick.

Lifetime definitely let Brandy put her stamp on CHRISTMAS EVERYDAY and I loved seeing Debbi Morgan, and some of the personal and authentic touches, but theme is definitely “Brandy is the star” even above her own daughter—who plays her sister and who Brandy makes a very unflattering wedding dress.

SAVVY SHELDON FEELS GOOD AS HELL has its charms, mostly thanks to Amber Riley, and they made it quite holiday, with a little un-Hallmark-like sass, but story dragged and small budget showed. Fine but far from essential.

THE MORE THE MERRIER didn’t make much sense. Penny and Boston charming, but neither even vaguely credible as doctor. (Sorry, but cardiologist well aware of gestation period) The pharmaceutical ad of it all was creepy, births laughably easy & weather crisis + adoption fake even by Hallmark standards
It’s super weird that Brendan Penny’s doctor doesn’t recognize that THE MORE THE MERRIER is the same hospital his character reported on in MERRY CHRISTMAS, TED COOPER! back when he was an anchorman. And where’s Kimberly Sustad?

Roku has, for whatever reason, changed designation of these GBBO celebrity seasons to THE GREAT COMIC RELIEF BAKE OFF, even though only first couple seasons are for that charity, and all others are for Stand Up 2 Cancer.
All past seasons, 2013-24, are still available under that name on Roku Channel
