"Whatever you do, do NOT put it in the paper that I'm scared of whistles."
one of the agents said “okay we know” when we were whistling so i leaned in and whistled louder and he threatened to pepper spray me. i then said “are you scared of a fucking whistle dawg” and he very meekly said “no i’m not scared of a whistle”

It probably wouldn't be the first thing I did, but if I had a time machine I would 100% go to the early 1980s, grab Mike Wallace, Morely Safer, & Ed Bradley, & bring 'em back here to meet Bari Weiss.

Here's hoping that the next time we hear anything about this scumbag is when he's indicted.
BREAKING Greg Bovino has been removed as Border Patrol "commander at large" and will return to El Centro Calif, where he is expected to retire soon. A stunning turnaround after Pretti killing. Bovino's traveling blue city crackdown is over www.theatlantic.com/politics/202...

He will never end up behind bars. But he's clearly going to spend what's left of his miserable life intensely aware of his impending death.
“.. if you’re going to write a bad story about my health, I’m going to sue the ass off of ‘New York’ Magazine. There will be a time when you can write that story, maybe in two years, three years, five years — five years, no one is going to care, I guess.”

Omfgggggg I hate Alt National Park Service so fucking much.

Pleaseeeeee stop supporting them guys. They’re just frauds who use ai for their website, merch, and are trying to get your money. While posing as the national parks.
AltNPS needs you to believe that they are The Resistance, and that you can support The Resistance by buying shirts.

After stoking confusion with their cryptic posts, AltNPS waited barely twelve hours before plugging their merch store again.

Then again, what else is there to cover? Unfortunate timing for Bari Weiss, who took over CBS News just as the nation was plunged into unprecedented peace & unity.

Back when the nation took COVID seriously, when certain folks started clamoring to get teams back out onto the courts/ fields/etc., someone (can't remember who) commented, "Sports are a reward for having a functional society."

I've thought a lot about that comment in the past few years.
"The federal government is killing people in the streets, so sports are canceled," is the point we have reached.

They used it to call their lawyer, who called their state representative, who ultimately got them released on the condition they tell people they were “treated kindly.”

Hope they had video running in the room when his team told Stephen Miller that JD VANCE is more charismatic than he is.

I mean, the fact that plants don't immediately wilt & die when JD looks at them puts him a slight step above ol' Stevie, but it's still gotta hurt to hear that from your friends.
@gregsargent.bsky.social knows what Stephen Miller is trying to do:

"In an administration that sometimes seems to lack a well-defined institutional role for JD Vance, he appears to be taking on a new function: Putting a softer, more reasonable face on Stephen Miller’s authoritarian police state"
I'm calling bullshit on the media narrative that JD Vance tried to "soften" things in Minneapolis. He blamed the left for ICE violence and called the 5-year-old's father an "illegal alien" even though he's lawfully applying for asylum.

New piece from me:
