I used to have to teach the NSS: What's in it, what it means, how it was produced.
In this administration, documents mean nothing. Our national policy is whatever stray voltage is crossing Donald Trump's brain pan at any given moment. The NSS and other such documents are meaningless.
The Trump administration has quietly released its National Security Strategy — apparently late on Thursday. Usually there's a rollout and fanfare for these things: www.whitehouse.gov/wp-content/u...

I don’t give a fuck who the architect is. When a Democrat becomes president in January, 2029, that fucking ballroom is going to be torn down. And again, I won’t support any candidate for president who does not pledge to demolish Trump’s ballroom. www.mediaite.com/media/news/j...

Voting for a lifelong racist/misogynist/bigot in the hope that he will somehow treat you kindly, is plain idiocy.

The Somali community now joins several other minority groups in learning this lesson the hard way.

2 questions about the “pipe bomber” arrested today. Maybe this post won’t age well, but:
1. We’ve seen the videos 5K times over five years. How many times did anyone think it was a Black man? None, right?
2. How did they happen to “catch the guy” the day after Kegseth soiled himself on national TV?

This is where we are now. Families are starving in the wealthiest nation in the world.

Meanwhile the president is intentionally trying to cut off food for hungry people who live in states that did not vote for him.

It's not just immoral — it's un-American.

So, I’m watching the NBC outdoors Christmas show.
The discrepancy and discrimination is startling.
Every male performer comes out in jackets, pants, hats, whatever they want.
Females performers, like the Rockettes, are fitted into legless, shoulderless outfits to dance and sing in 35° temps. 🫩

Just watched a Starbucks commercial and thought: for the money they spent on producing and distributing that commercial, they probably could have met the next two years of salary needs for every worker now on strike.

On top of this, Trump has:

-Prevented the NLRB from operating
-Reversed Biden's minimum wage hike for federal contractors
-Gutted OSHA
-Rolled back dozens of workplace health & safety regulations
-Dropped the FTC’s support for a noncompete ban

The “pro-worker" president.
NEW: This year, Trump ended collective bargaining rights for 1 million federal workers — ending union protections for 1 in 14 unionized workers in the U.S.

No, Trump hasn’t helped workers. He’s helped bosses exploit them. Lawrence S. Wittner in @inequality.org:

TN07 is a story about gerrymandering: the GOP cracked Nashville into 3 districts when it redrew the 2022 map, destroying the Dem seat there.

Fast-forward: a section of Nashville, which just 5 years ago had a Dem representative, is now voting Dem by huge margins but it's been designed to not matter.

So these two mega-billionaires—who supported Trump as he opposed meaningful loan forgiveness for tens of millions of young people because Trump has increased their net worth immeasurably—are donating an infinitesimal portion of their wealth to help a few kids turn $250 into $700 over 18 years?

WOW.
