Defenceless under the night
Our world in stupor lies;
Yet, dotted everywhere,
Ironic points of light
Flash out wherever the Just
Exchange their messages:
May I, composed like them
Of Eros and of dust,
Beleaguered by the same
Negation and despair,
Show an affirming flame.

Good, the next thing that should end in the Senate is this presidency.
The DHS funding bill is effectively dead in the Senate.

I work with state parties every single day. There are only a handful of national leaders who actually raise real money for the year organizing state parties do--Ken Martin (dnc chair), Simon Rosenberg (Hopium), Sen. Warren and Actblue. Come for Simon and you come for all of us.
I'm not interested in arguing with the good people of Minnesota, on the front lines, doing the hard work of protecting our democracy. I've worked hard to bring your bravery and courage to the world in recent weeks on Hopium.

But attacks like this are false, defamatory, and need to end. 1/

I used to not fully understand why they were still, in the 2000s, dragging suspected Nazi camp guards out of their homes and into court, but I sure as hell do now.
Murder. And not just the one who pulled the trigger.
Holy shit.

Renee Good was alive when the bystander physician asked to check her pulse. She was alive when ICE refused to let him help. She was alive when they told him “I don’t care.”

I am joining Minnesotans across our state in a moment of silence at 10:00 AM today to honor the memory of Renee Nicole Good. My heart goes out to her family, friends, and all who knew her.

'Don't fight back that will give Trump an excuse to escalate!' is the most asinine dogshit take on here- the man *instigated an insurrection* because people *voted him out*

No level of law abiding pacifism will placate him- he registers it as weakness, and an invitation to multiply his abuses

Fun facts for no particular reason
Did you know that during the (first) Nuremberg trials, the executioner purposely mismatched the ropes so that instead of an instant death by broken neck, the nazis had to swing around for bit while slowly choking to death 😭

There is absolutely no reason for Dems to vote for GOP nominees, to facilitate the smooth operation of Congress, nor to withhold impeachment of the President and his appointees. Do it all.
Here’s some things that can be done by a party out of power

- file impeachment articles every day in the House

- withhold unanimous consent in the senate and filibuster every nominee

- be everywhere with comms saying this is lawless and impeachable
