Like my friend and DNC Midwest Caucus Chair Ron Harris said, we need to put in the work every single day leading up to this year’s midterms to make sure Democrats win and put a stop to this chaos.

There’s no better time than now to get involved.

Some personal news~

It’s my last week at the Strib. Next week I start as the Digital Communications Manager for the City of Minneapolis. I couldn’t be more thrilled to get to work directly with our community in this new role. I love my country of Minneapolis.

Senator Tina Smith knows exactly what it takes to serve Minnesotans well in Washington - and she understands the kind of leadership that this moment demands.

I am so honored and humbled to have earned her endorsement to succeed her in the US Senate.

Incredibly grateful to the Democratic lawmakers and millions of Americans who raised their voices to help bring Liam home to his family in Minnesota.
Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

One year ago today, I became the Chair of the Democratic Party.

Since then, we’ve won over 250 key elections including last year’s Blue Sweep, launched our largest voter registration push ever, and are continuing to invest in state parties across the country.

Thank you, Democrats.

They’re taking kids from Minnesota and sending them to detention camps. They’re shooting American citizens in the street and locking investigators out of the crime scenes. The world is watching what happens next.
Hundreds of people spelled out the distress signal "SOS" on Bde Maka Ska in Minneapolis on Friday, Jan. 30.

Minneapolis is trying out new forms of resistance. They're doing pop-up blockade block parties. This one is on Cedar and 34th, a main route into the city. They have a stereo, food & a fire. MPD is present but not interfering. Lots of honks of support. ICE agents have been reported detouring around.

The large volume of people who have been detained, had all their possessions stolen, and then released into the cold, shows that Metro Surge is not about immigration at all.
Minnesota highlighted the chaos and violence caused by the federal surge. The federal government didn’t contest these harms, but insisted that their goal was immigration enforcement and that the additional agents were necessary because they said Minnesota is a “sanctuary state.” (5)

legit, i think it's a form of addiction. bc the more you use it, the harder it is to quit. it de-skills you, & is exhausting (choice, communication, etc), & expensive. it even has variable intermittent reward which is highly addicting.

frozen prepared foods are actually pretty damn good now
cold take: getting food delivered is an addiction on par with those mobile games that milk you for coins

it’s self-perpetuating and tough to break yourself of the habit even tho it not only is bad for you in many cases, it’s painful and irritating and the food doesn’t even arrive in good shape

@daviss.org Reporters are doing live television reports from inside the skyway right now. A little bit warmer than out on the street!
Reporter: This arrest of Don Lemon is part of an ongoing pressure campaign against protests that we have seen make the administration so uncomfortable. When Trump promised retribution, this is the kind of retribution that some of his voters wanted to see.
