Bluesky admin has let a lot of people and groups down. Casey being dismissed after being such a proponent for the platform is an inexcusable as anything

When I tell people to get off Twitter, it is not with the intention of telling them come here instead

Find a platform that makes you feel secure.
Remember guys, just be caution and don't trust Bluesky optics going into 2026...

There are users in here are as devastated as you are from Twitter. While we have it with the great For You feed. Expect much more disappointment and infuriating posts, updates, and transparency from these guys here

Adult creators and sex workers are going to continue to be picked off, one by one, unless people stand up for them.

please call your representatives. demand they oppose censorship bills like the SCREEN Act, KOSA, and demand protections for Section 230
3D adult animator Vega has been banned from Patreon. Vega wrote that Patreon took aim at the adult Blender artist’s content by claiming certain works were “non consenting art”

I personally believe if we want to try and dress up using AI gen to "speed up production" as if that is the real concern, we should instead be more okay with reusing already existing assets made by actual humans, rather than generating from a pool of stolen assets at a massive energy cost

This seems like a maliciously put headline to make people feel a certain way.

Wikipedia is not partaking in generative AI. They are making AI companies and scrappers having to pay for training their modules off wikipedia texts. And having an AI (not that ai) tasked with updating dead links.

Gently, some of y’all have got to recover from being called “weird” in high school and start blocking people instead of trying to convince them you’re not. Be weird and distance yourself from the people who are too embarrassed to be weird themselves.

Fuck MyTipMe. Block on sight.
Their mascot is AI and they try to harvest banking information from users for scam purposes. It's blocked for me by a blocklist I subscribe to so this is the first I've seen of them.

They seem to be targeting Vtubers so please keep an eye out.

Here's the alt text for that image:

Again I say: how fucking interesting that remote work technology is bad and not worth adopting despite all research pointing to productivity gains, but genAI which offers NOTHING is so important to adopt and force on people who have no use for it despite all the horrible things genAI does

CANCEL your Fortnite subscriptions and DELETE the game from all your computers.

Choosing—and yes, it is a CHOICE— to license Harry Potter in 2025 sends a message: "We do not care about trans people."

No amount of Miku or trans-colored cosmetic items can make up for this.

Fuck Fortnite, Fuck Epic, Fuck The Game Awards.

Posting this to their X but NOT their Bluesky just SHOWS they know they're doing some bigoted shit & just don't wanna get called out for it.

Imagine hurting your Transgender playerbase like this? And your Transgender viewers {In the case of TGA}?

Repealing Section 230 would chill free speech by allowing platforms, not users, to be held responsible for what its users say. Platforms will become much more censorious over what its users can post. This is extremely bad
They're trying to rush it. Call your reps, don't let them
Sen. WHITEHOUSE: We finally are moving to file a bipartisan Section 230 repeal bill. Waiting any longer serves no useful purpose.

You need to read this thread and you need to be calling every representative you have and threatening to literally never vote for them again and donate your time to getting them replaced if they do this.

If you don't, it's basically the end of the internet.
It’s very simple. Genuinely very simple. Until Section 230, it was the case that any website that allowed a user to publish any content of any kind could be sued if they said *anything* libelous or bad. That includes web hosts, blogging platforms, social media etc.

what is extra frustrating about the continued efforts to kill it is that none of them understand this

everyone attacking it is convinced that killing section 230 will allow them to remove some part of the internet that they don't like, be it content moderation or sex predators, but it's much worse
Bluntly, Section 230 is almost literally the law that the entire internet rests upon, it makes it possible for user generated content to exist on the internet, it’s incredibly important, and genuinely we must defend it at all costs. This place literally would not exist without it.
