I think it makes SE look obtuse to what the players really want, and using "famous title" names to give it a boost ends up causing more harm. The Dissidia fanbase doesn't seem to even be the target audience of this project, because if they were the game wouldn't even be mobile in the first place.

It sets a precedent for sure. Which in turn makes people think "Another title that will be shut down in little over a year", thus making it a waste of time. The Dissidia fanbase has been asking for a new game that plays just like the PSP one for years and yet SE just plays dumb to the idea.

The new Dissidia reveal really highlights that SE is so out of touch with its playerbase they have no idea of how to make things that appeal to their specific demographics anymore. Sure it looks pretty but when the consensus is "Looks nice! I won't play it though" it definitely means something.
