Remember the incident where DHS claimed officers shot a guy because he attacked them with a snow shovel?

Yeah. It didn't happen. They shot him through the door of his own home. And then arrested him. And then lied about it. Again.

And they almost shot some kids in the process.
They just blindly shot through the fucking door.

"Additional photographs show damage consistent with a bullet fragment lodged in a bedroom wall down the hallway — suggesting it traveled between a mattress and a portable crib in a room where several small children sleep."
"Photographic evidence from the shooting scene of a Venezuelan man by federal agents last month in Minneapolis supports the account of witnesses there – and appears to undercut the narrative provided by federal officials." www.startribune.com/ice-raids-mi...

I’d love Americans to be asked if they had to have their taxes finance one thing over the other, would they prefer it to be a healthcare system that doesn’t bankrupt them, or ICE.

I’m guessing the numbers might surprise the news media…

The Trump regime is plotting to convert commercial warehouses to massive ICE detention centers.

Private prison corporations, who just so happened to donate to Trump, are already raking in billions.

How many more private companies are going to cash in on this cruelty?

Marimar Martinez is displaying an enormous amount of courage.

An ICE agent shot her five times. Called her a “b*tch” and bragged “5 shots 7 holes”.

They tried to kill her.

Rather than cowering, she’s using her voice to warn others.

Thank you Ms Martinez.

The GOP has a 3 seat edge over the Dems in the House at the moment.

There are 4 special elections to go this year. The next one is March 10, in GA for MTG’s seat.

Please support former General Shawn Harris. He needs all of us to step up and keep the momentum from this weekend going.

Next is NJ on April 11,

Then the special election for Ken Buck’s seat on June 25.

Then CA 1 on August 26.

We can win these races.

If we can move 31 points in TX, we can move anything.

DHS said that the woman CBP shot in the chest in Portland was “involved” in a gang shooting.

Her ~involvement~ was that suspected gang members sexually assaulted and robbed her.
After Border Patrol shot two people in Portland, DHS claimed they were "vicious gang members" tied to a past shooting.

But records I obtained reveal a US prosecutor has since directly contradicted DHS, saying, "We're not suggesting he is a gang member." My dive into how DHS' claims have collapsed:

Immigration officials said agent shot two ‘vicious gang members’ in Portland, but records obtained by the Guardian reveal US prosecutor contradicted claims

It’s been 8 days and we still don’t know the names of the men who murdered Alex Pretti.

DHS must be abolished. No ICE. No palantir surveillance police state.

There’s no “fixing” a sociopathic agency designed to trample on our freedoms.

None. No quant data could solely determine the correct message for this, no linear model could based on ad tests or issue polls.

Hard to overstate how big a deal a Rehmet win would be. Tarrant County is the epicenter of Christian nationalism in Texas, an incubator for far-right policies, and nexus of billionaire Tim Dunn's network, which is riding hard for Wambsganss. Rehmet almost entirely funded by donations of $100 or less
‼️‼️ Still a lot TBD, but Rehmet is leading early vote count by **13 POINTS** in a district that Trump won by 17 points. I'll be updating in this thread throughout the night.

Utah voters have the power to refer a piece of legislation to the ballot and then reject it. They can do that here. They should!
The Utah Senate has passed a bill that would expand the state supreme court by 2 seats (to be filled by the GOP governor).

This comes as local conservatives are angry about judicial decisions in Utah, inc. one that safeguarded direct democracy in 2024 & one that struck down their gerrymander.
