Also, I get why the networks caved and agreed to air a clearly political speech not related to breaking news: They're scared, it's his first year back, and it's not worth the blowback. But the same networks refused to run Biden's Democracy speech and Obama speeches on health care + immigration.
In case you missed it, Trump's speech tomorrow will interrupt the finales of SURVIVOR and THE FLOOR for people in the Eastern and Central time zones. He could've easily started the speech at 8, and I'm sure the networks suggested that to the WH. The WH didn't care; viewers of both shows will suffer.

Some of my detectors are hooked up to my security alarm. It makes noise and tells me which detector needs batteries. I can’t turn off the sound fully, but I can silence the alert for four hours. Which means when a battery is low I can sleep a maximum of four hours. Really fucking effective system.

If there were people targeting ethnic Russians because of Russia’s policy, I think it would be perfectly reasonable for diaspora Russians to fault everyone in the chain of responsibility, including Russia.
I need some of the people insisting that attacks on Jews worldwide are the fault of Israel to explain the absence of attacks on Russians worldwide.

im guessing graduates of penn or yale etc etc have a much higher ceiling but most ivy grads are a few grand above (or below) the career trajectories of graduates from UC davis. hard time thinking thats worth the hassle

A lot of districts actually don't really let kids walk to school any more. When growing up, by the age of six I was walking my 4 year old sister to school about 1 KM there and back. But now a lot of schools won't let you leave unless your parent specifically picks you up.
