It is also our responsibility to keep more families together.

That is why I’m joining Council Members @robin4mpls.bsky.social, Vice President Osman, and Council Member @sorenwithward8.bsky.social in co-sponsoring the Evict ICE, not US Resolution. 2/

Correct.

Dems/patriots should be straight-up committed to abolishing ICE.

We must never again have masked, armed, untrained, unscreened, embittered rogue agents patrolling our streets, destroying civil order rather than trying to maintain it.

Empowered by 'Kavanaugh stop' and 'Roberts waiver.'
ICE must be abolished. It has become a lawless, rogue agency. Federal law enforcement agencies must follow the law, if they're going to have any credibility enforcing it.

We are demanding justice for Renee Good and the prosecution of ICE agent Jonathan Ross for her murder.

The Walz response to all this is worthless; but it's a political education opportunity to affirm:

"Do something!" doesn't mean "send in the guard or cops to stop ICE" ...because that's not going to happen.

"Do something!" means stuff like an eviction moratorium; listen to @jchavezmpls.bsky.social:

People in Minneapolis don't like it when secret police come into their city to kill and brutalize them, people in rural areas think it's great. Somehow, this is a problem that Minneapolis is supposed to make amends for.
As usual, the story here isn't about "divides" or cosmopolitan elites looking down on rural populations. It is about radicalization. This woman wants violent vengeance for things that did not happen.

A buddy in MN shared a drawing a classmate of his kid made. They've been making thank you notes for parents who have volunteered to carpool them to school so their own parents don't have to risk waiting out by the bus stop.

“You know what else we should put in the ground, funeral costs!”
So true, my senatorial bestie. No one can even afford to be shot dead by their own government after taking their kid to school.

This is reminding me of his pathetic performance before Congress when he let Emmer walk all over him (and the debate against Vance). Wake the f up man! This is who they are!

This is the dynamic across most of America: Liberal cities generate revenue, which state governments then transfer to benefit conservative rural areas, whose residents despite city-dwellers and consistently vote to harm them. But politicians endlessly pander to rural voters and demonize cities.
Another critical piece of missing context in this story: tax dollars flow from the MSP metro to rural Minnesota. People in the city subsidize the lifestyles of people living in the country minnesotareformer.com/2023/12/04/t...

They still don’t understand that the federal government has declared war on us and is trying to force us into submission.
When you use the phrase “the situation is not sustainable” you are giving them a phrase they will leverage for the Insurrection Act.

The Times went to non urban Minnesota to ask people why they dislike urban Minneapolis. If someone were to ask me to teach a journalism school course on helicopter reporting, this story - so cliche it’s almost hard to believe they really did this - would immediately go on the syllabus.
NYTimes has truly outdone itself with this latest in its "ask white guys in diner" genre. Thank goodness we get a perspective on what's happening in Minneapolis from people in **Nisswa** who probably mean Brainerd when they say they "prefer not to go the city anymore" www.nytimes.com/2026/01/15/u...

Clear and informative little diagram here:
Not sure who needs to hear this, but the Insurrection Act isn’t the same as “martial law.” It authorizes the molitary to engage in civil law enforcement. And not clear that even then, whether they can enforce state criminal laws

I’ve started using the term “ethnic cleansing campaign” to describe the ICE occupation here in Minnesota. This is deliberate because the reality on the ground is that, at a given moment, any non-white person can be kidnapped by masked federal paramilitaries regardless of their constitutional rights.
