FAMU can't use the word Black on anything posted around campus related to Black History Month, to stay in compliance with Florida state laws against DEI. Black students can't use the word Black at their Historically Black College during Black History Month.

One of the scariest aspects of the Trump administration is that they continue to make us vulnerable to an ever lengthening list of disasters that haven't happened yet but eventually will.

Importantly, this wouldn't have passed without Dem support. There was enough of a split within Republican ranks that if Dems had voted against the bill it would've been doa. Giving Trump a blank check to warmonger *and* passing an anti-trans measure was a choice.
115 Democrats just voted to codify the first federal trans segregation law.

So like, those two guys from Texas who wanted to take over a Haitian island, I know where it came from but the heck did they expect that to go down?

I think it’s a massive misconception that people have that the Nazis were not in fact, massive dorks, and cringe nerds who if they had not been Nazis would’ve been laughed out of most rooms for being absolutely the largest nerds you’ve ever met. Modern Nazis are similarly cringey.

Trumps head of operations for the war being waged in Chicago is openly trying to channel the supposedly masculine imagery of the Nazis

Make no mistake these domestic enemies waging war against the states are Nazis.

Bovino is really trying to sell its aesthetic now.

STRANGE NEW WORLDS
Which Star Trek do you think is the least queer? And I don’t mean in terms of literal LGBTQ representation, I mean more in ethos. I’m curious for a possible video topic.

TOS has queer vibes and I'd say that's mostly because nobody had a clear enough sense of what those were to remove them. ENT uncomfortably ignores anything deviant, but by doing so, it draws attention to it. SNW believes all deviance can be recuperated for the empire

I remain amazed at how many people just totally ignore the fact that LLMs constantly make shit up until the exact moment it bites them in the ass
A brief recap: Mike Lindell’s lawyers used AI to write a brief to the court about a pretrial matter. The AI they used made up a bunch of cases because that is what AI does.

The judge asked the lawyer about it in the courtroom. The lawyer was like “uuhhhhhh what do you mean???”

This book is riveting and so, so infuriating. It follows 5 families in Atlanta who are struggling to remain housed and paints deeply compassionate portraits of each unit. It reads almost like a novel but is outstanding journalism
