The funny thing is Microsoft's push to have computers be this thing you interact with by talking to actually makes computers *less* useful as 'cognitive amplifiers'. You're going from computers being a sort of cybernetics, a tool that becomes an extension of your person as you use it-

Have said this many times, but this whole mode of politics relies on a level of formal abstraction that is fundamentally idealist, not materialist. Its understanding of "universalism" is completely detached from concrete circumstances and the play of really-existing social forces.
