I suspect one reason Police Commissioner Tisch got so angry at ICE today, is the cops only found out about the would-be ICE raid from a 911 call (per NY Post and other outlets). That was more than an hour after protesters showed up.
It means the protesters had far better intelligence than the cops.

Feels significant that in both cases, the phrasing — "suspected narcotics vessels" and "alleged to be ferrying narcotics" — reflects the uncertainty in the situation as opposed to echoing the DOD's unequivocal language as to the identification of the targeted vessels.

I've never encountered more students who say they hate reading. Students who want to be teachers, writers, or both. I wonder if "hate" means "I have trouble reading," but I also talk with so many students who write in a genre but refuse to read in it. They can't see themselves in relation to others.
