I had the great pleasure of hosting Dr. Karine Auclair @auclairlab.bsky.social at USask Chemistry today. I was too captivated by her science to take photos! 🤦‍♂️ As much as I enjoyed it, the best part was the big impression she made by meeting with my trainees. 😊
Prof. Auclair presented at the McGill Interdisciplinary Initiative in Infection and Immunity (MI4) annual symposium last week!

Cronos (1992), dir. Guillermo del Toro
Scarificator, 19th century. This instrument with spring-loaded blades delivered many cuts simultaneously. Afterwards, the doctor placed a heated cup over the site. As it cooled, blood was forced out of the wounds.

Great talk by Xiaoguang Lei at #ISCPDD. He talked about the use photoaffinity probes based on biosynthetic intermediates to fish for the relevant enzymes to identify e.g. an intermolecular Diels-Alderase.
