“How to Monetize Your Own Failures Through the Magic of Bigotry”
As first reported by @msjpauly.bsky.social and @pablo.show, the Harris County GOP gave Riley Gaines $25,000 to speak at the 2025 Lincoln Reagan Dinner with Gov. Greg Abbott. Here's a little more context on that, plus Gaines' relationship with the Texas GOP: www.chron.com/culture/arti...

This administration's playbook is to blame *everything* on immigrants.

It's easy for the base to understand. And it saves members of the administration from having to discover, much less understand, the true causes.

Once again, we were way ahead of the curve! As Republicans panic about the #TN07 special that's now about 10 days away—and major Dem groups start spending—we flagged this race as one to watch in mid-August.

Democrats are responsible for every intemperate comment from every random anonymous internet communist.

But the Republican president who is at the center of a cult of personality that has consumed the entire GOP can call for mass executions, and somehow this isn’t laid at the feet of Republicans.
Weird. Nothing on the @nytimes.com homepage about the President of the United States calling for the execution of members of the opposition in response to their political speech.
Important: House Dem leaders just said Trump's call for execution of Dems has prompted them to contact US Capitol Police and House Sergeant at Arms to "ensure the safety of these members and their families."

Treat Trump like an unhinged menace. He's weak and in deep political trouble. Don't let up.

She doesn't even say those dead people were necessarily receiving benefits. It's the same shit Elon Musk tried to pull with Social Security. 3 million people die in the U.S. every year.

She says, "we found almost 200,000 dead people," but doesn't finish the sentence with "...receiving benefits."

I supported this guy, and now I can't stand the sight of him.

Please resign. Now.

You're an embarrassment
Then please resign, Fetterman. It's long overdue. Get help, rest, and enjoy life outside of the Beltway.

Your constituents will move on, and hopefully be fully and better served by someone else representing them in the Senate.

Dem gains in this week's elections erased the inroads Trump made with non-white, young, and low-income voters in 2024. In fact, the R-to-D shift from 24 to 25 is double Trump's gains from 20-24. Claims of a GOP political realignment have been highly exaggerated

I have ended relationships with coworkers, friends, and family who are MAGA.

It's not because I don't want "hard conversations."

It's because I choose not to interact with people who have values that I abhor. MAGA folks are selfish, racist, stupid or a combination of all 3

And I don't miss them.
THE HARDEST CONVERSATIONS ARE THE ONES DEMOCRACY NEEDS MOST

1 in 5 Americans has ended a relationship with a friend or family member due to political differences. 2 in 3 actively avoid political conversations with coworkers, friends, or family.

Let that sink in.

If you take Real Clear Politics seriously for anything, you must reconsider.

They are a hard-core, right-wing propaganda site
If it's true that RealClearPolitics removed their polling average of the VA Attorney General race because it was wrong, that should really be the nail in the coffin for them. It's GOP polling propaganda that hasn't been rigorous or transparent in a long time (www.gelliottmorris.com/p/the-pollin...)

Whether millions of Americans go hungry or lose their health care shouldn't be some kind of game in the GOP government shutdown.
BASH: Even Hawley says you should move money around to feed people. Why not consider it?

Julian is one thousand percent correct here

Democrats don't talk about these things, but the right-wing ecosystem makes up events and stories and repeats them over and over with lies saying that is what Democrats are doing.

And because our news media is a failure, this false perception persists
The problem, again, is elected Dems & candidates DON'T actually spend very much time at all talking about these things. Right-wing media does. And Dems ultimately have no control over what right-wing media is going to talk about.
Duh. Those of us on the ground last year actually speaking with middle class/working class voters and who heard from these voters every single day the same - “Trump is an asshole, but Democrats are out of touch” - could’ve saved my new political party a lot of time & money producing this “report.”👇
