Devilled Eggs are like cocktail sausages in that however many you make, they will always, always get eaten. This is why they are such excellent party food – and a most deserving #RecipeOfTheDay! www.nigella.com/recipes/devi...
Devilled Eggs
I cannot begin to tell you how good these are. There’s not much that can get me squeezing a fancy-nozzled icing bag, but I can’t get enough of these — and nor can those I make them for. Yes, they are ...

Teenagers with comfortable homes and no bills should 1000000% use their power to quit jobs with no notice if their manager treats them like shit.
“Dad, she can fire us.”

Me: “Oh no. Fired. Kid, you are a teenager with no bills to pay working retail. Getting fired will not make you homeless, and I promise you that you will quickly find another retail job. Your dignity doesn’t come as cheap as $13.50 an hour.”

Great reporting and a knockout final line:

“Not long after, as the sun was going down, an SUV with tinted windows and an out-of-state license plate was seen barreling down a nearby street. It was followed closely by three cars, with drivers laying on their horns and whistling.”

This composition had eluded me for nearly a decade, but yesterday I was finally able to capture it. A train rolled through just as the Duquesne Incline was crossing over the tracks in #Pittsburgh, creating a picture perfect winter scene. It was worth the hours and hours I've waited over the years.

The Brewers system contained so many quality to excellent big leaguers around that time — Hader, Burnes, Woodruff, Williams, Grisham, Houser, Peralta, Erceg, Dubon — and the Marlins somehow managed to take back 4 complete flameouts for Yelich. That will never not be wild.

I'd recommend The Wounded Generation by David Nasaw to anyone who wants to understand better what it was like for their grandparents to go through the end of WWII
I get why A History of Western Philosophy by Bertrand Russell blew people's minds when it was released, and I wish I'd read it in college, but it gets increasingly dated as it approaches modernity.
Far From The Tree by Andrew Solomon is a much, much, much longer version of this. Even if you don't have a special needs kid still very interesting but he could've edited it down a bit.
