also I'd argue the past like decade-ish of both parties propping up fake 'Maduro steals elections and this random CIA asset is the real president' shit was the manufacturing consent part. People just take 'Venezuela bad' for granted at this point.
I keep seeing people claim "they didn't even manufacture consent" in the wake of them bombing random speedboats that have no hope of reaching the US. I point this out to beg you all to realize what demons we are dealing with. That was them trying to manufacture consent. That was it.
