Grammar question for linguists, not pedants:

"She didn't take it, or him either."

Why is it impossible for me to say "he" here when on paper it ought to be the nominative case?

BTW when I say abolish ICE, I mean abolish it entirely and replace it with exactly nothing. Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free. That's it.

If people have to tell a more honest story about George Washington it means they have to tell a more honest story about America. And if they have to tell a more honest story about America it means they have to tell a more honest story about themselves. And many people simply don’t want to do that.

We acknowledge that no one has the bandwidth for this, but if it helps:

- It’s ‘voilà,’ not ‘wallah!’
- It’s ‘a lot,’ not ‘alot.’
- It’s ‘further ado,’ not ‘farther adieu.’
- It’s ‘flesh out,’ not ‘flush out.’
- It’s ‘sneak peek,’ not ‘sneak peak.’

No worries if not!!!

According to the Supreme Court, the President can cancel the Department of Education but can't cancel the student debt that the Department of Education holds? Do we have that right?
BREAKING: The Supreme Court allows the Trump administration to move forward with the abolition of the Department of Education. It gives no explanation for its order. All three liberals dissent. www.documentcloud.org/documents/25...

The Supreme Court decision is reprehensible.

Anytime we hear "states' right," note that this country went through that argument already. States could not be trusted with making sure everyone got a baseline good education.

We're going to feel this one for a generation if ppl don't make demands.
