The new Canada-Alberta MOU is a positive step for our energy future.

Meaningful investments in Pathways, clear measures to reduce emissions, and a stronger industrial carbon price give Albertans the certainty we need to move forward. /1

We should only be building proper 5A infrastructure. If it's expensive, build less at a time.

Spoiler: it's less expensive and faster to build than MUPs.
#yeg Pretty sad that in #cbc and other media, it seems the “good behaviour” bar for killing a person with a vehicle is not fleeing the scene. I’m sure the driver didn’t intend to do it, and will suffer with the consequences, but language of “being struck by a car” not by an inattentive driver sucks.

Meanwhile, wait times for nearly all critical cancer and other surgeries are far outside acceptable wait-time standards."

a 50 year mortgage is actually a great solution to the housing crisis because instead of giving your landlord $3000/mo for the rest of your life you are giving it to a bank PLUS interest

Men don’t believe women about anything. They literally had to read Jeffery Epstein’s e-mails for confirmation.
Trump bragged about grappling women by the pu**y & barging into rooms of partially dressed, young pageant contestants. A jury concluded he assaulted E. Jean Carroll in a dressing room. So nothing that’s in the Epstein emails is a surprise. It’s just confirmation.

The idea that sexual abuse is part of “private” life instead of a public crisis has done incalculable damage. Anti-rape activists have to fight to even make it possible to expose sexual abuse as a wrongdoing in public without being silenced and undermined. That fight is far from won

The Americans love it. The salaciousness, the sex, the pedophilia, the years-long drama and months-long evidence drop. There is nothing they won’t make a shameless 3 ring circus. Even the sexual abuse of very young girls and I feel like I need a shower reading them. Listen to yourselves.

Hi Bluesky 👋

Small life update: I’m at the centre of a multimillion dollar lawsuit in Alberta launched by a failed candidate for Jason Kenney’s UCP

It may be the longest and most expensive media trial in Canadian history

I’m ready to go public about it and I want to share more details with you 🧵

You know the part of the cop show where they invoke right to an attorney & one shows up in a couple hours?

Yeah that’s not really how it works

You will need to be quiet for a long time

They may make you feel like you need to get your own lawyer & maybe you do!

But maybe you end up waiting it out
“I won’t speak to you without an attorney

& I don’t have an attorney

So I will not speak to you.”

when an attorney shows up, if they’re good, they will also tell you, do not talk to cops!

My autistic comrades : do not talk to cops!

Communication w/ double empathy problem at its most dangerous!
Scripts to say something & then shut up:

I invoke my right to be silent without an attorney present
& I do not have an attorney
so I will be silent.

Am I under arrest? May I leave?

say them out loud. practice them. you want them to fly from your lips so you may swiftly zip them. be safe, fellas 🫶

I am seeing a lot of people reposting Lakota Man today bc it's Indigenous Peoples Day. A reminder that he is not well liked amongst many (most?) Natives on social media. Many of us blocked him a long time ago. Some of the reasons why are in this article.

Who is LakotaMan, the user behind one of the most popular Native American accounts on X?
John Martin is adored by white X users—but infamous among Native and Indigenous communities.

Today is a great day to block and rid your life of Lakota Man.

Not only is he a grifter, raising funds for nonexistent things, but he ALSO scrapes other peoples' and tribes stories and wisdom and pretends they are his own.

He is an example of extractive whiteness, and represents no one.

— Virtue signals about supporting US manufacturing
— Against raising the minimum wage
— Buys foreign imports because they're cheap
