I’m totally on board with this, but let’s also include annual distance so someone who has a car for occasional use but mostly uses bike or public transit or walking isn’t penalized like someone who does 30k km per year.

Even supposedly friendly US senators don’t understand how NATO works. They think we all pay into some NATO fund? If that is the level of their knowledge, perhaps they should shut their apple pie holes.

Even supposedly friendly US senators don’t understand how NATO works. They think we all pay into some NATO fund? If that is the level of their knowledge, perhaps they should shut their apple pie holes.

Saw that one today, and the barricades moved in to block the bike lane (strangely not blocking it now…). The shared street/local bikeway with modal filters is pretty nice - and those probably cut down on people running the neighbourhood to avoid the YH. But the bagged over CW lights on 97 st suck!

I’ve done quite a bit of business travel. Far more rudeness and incivility from the well dressed business people in my experience.

A decade ago I got asked in a town hall how I would deal with a “F her right in the” issue. Crystal clear - they would never work for me again. Can’t put them next to their co-workers ever. Don’t care what it costs. Lots of applause from the women, and some men. What happens outside of work matters.

Lord no. It’s just lazy. EdmOntun, EdmUntun I hear, but 59 of my 60 years here suggest it’s not a local thing. Maybe the Edmontonians in Kentucky, UK, or Australia pronounce it differently though (pretty sure the Aussies would based on living there for a year).

I remember when my Dad had his license pulled for poor vision (diabetes consequences). Very glad he decided not to fight it and embraced an outdoor mobility scooter instead. He spent most of a decade living car-free, and would have greatly appreciated proper infrastructure (not just sidewalks).
