It's too easy of a slide from "the American political categories of left and right do not map cleanly onto the Church" (which is true and useful to articulate) to "the Church is eternally moderate, always between the two" (which not just wrong but also lazy moral cowardice)
I am beyond sick of this “neither left nor right, but Catholic” bullshit. You do in fact have to choose between right and wrong unless you’re a relativist which to be fair these guys are.

Very interesting to me that Kristi Noem just said in her press conference that Alex Pretti was presumptively trying to kill federal agents because he was (legally) carrying a gun. Now apply that standard to every Republican voter legally carrying a gun in public.

it's 100% what they expected. Conservatives think of Minneapolis' white people as scared of our neighbors, especially the immigrants. But that's because *they're* scared, not because we are. They cannot imagine being in a city with such diversity and enjoying it.
