80% of the private sector workforce in SA is migrant workers, under a sponsorship system called kafala, which gives their employers abusive levels of control over their safety & freedom.

MBS' development project, The Line, is dead after 50b spent.

Shame on anyone who calls that free or strong.

The only reason Homan replaced Bovino as the face of the occupation is because his lies are more polished and he doesn’t dress like a member of the Third Reich in public. But the policies and the state instigated violence remain unchanged.
CNN: How did we get to a place where we had Bovino having Border Patrol agents stopping citizens in interior of the country, asking them ID, creating fear? Who made the decisions to allow this kind of operation to proceed?

“An administration official gave away the game to Punchbowl News, admitting that these “de-escalatory measures” are about placating Senate Democrats so they don’t seize this moment to demand restrictions on ICE as part of any government funding package.”

Donald Trump Is Frightened
Trump wants to appear eager to minimize out-of-control clashes between government militias and protesters. But he doesn’t want to stop the things causing those clashes in the first place.

Bovino is just the patsy - a noxious and odious fall guy. Stephen Miller is the architect and prime mover of the whole thing. Everything they do is at his direction - often after his threats. As long as he runs policy in the WH, nothing will change no matter how many Bovinos come and go.

Republicans seem to inherently understand if you aim for Jupiter you can usually force your opponents to AT LEAST meet you on the moon.

Even if Schumer doesn't want to abolish ICE (which he should), aiming for that makes dramatic progress more likely.
Chuck Schumer's starting position should be as maximalist as possible -- complete abolition of ICE, resignations of Bovino, Homan, Noem and Miller, unmasking of all agents, and prosecution by state authorities of the murderers.

Don't start with what looks like a compromise half-measure.
Majority of the country now wants to abolish and/or dismantle ICE and yet Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. told the caucus the message had to be to “restrain, reform and restrict ICE.”

Once again it looks like Schumer is about to choke after getting a massive opportunity.

So pathetic and weak.

He doesn’t get to walk away from this now.
