The only correct pie take is that pies are like dogs—they’re all good, we just have stronger personal attachments to some than others.

Since a lot of people are sharing bad pie ideas, let me help you with making a pecan pie

If you've been distressed by how much you agree with Bill Kristol about things these days, this is a useful corrective
Just FYI:

My most controversial tweet ever, from Thanksgiving three years ago, back when Twitter was Twitter and Bluesky didn’t exist.

_____________

Pies ranked.

1. Cherry (if not too sweet).
2. Mixed berry.
3. Peach/blackberry.
4. Peach.
5. Apple.

9. Key lime.

99. Pecan.

999. Pumpkin.

so many people have had poorly made lemon lime pie and think that’s what key lime pie is and i feel sorry for them

some people really do think one of their children is lesser
Cheesecake is unpleasantly heavy and will make me regret eating it shortly after. Key Lime pie has never let me down.

Actual Americans: “Vegas, baby!”

Again, every elected Democrat needs to put out a video stating exactly what Kelly and the others said. If ever there were a line to draw in the sand, it’s here. The military is not the president’s Praetorian Guard.
“Within the White House, Trump and his lieutenants aren’t planning on letting up…Trump has told some advisers that he wants RICO prosecutions and conspiracy charges leveled against the six Democrats, a source with direct knowledge of the matter tells Zeteo…

It is wild to me that the largest company on the stock market, one with such incredible prestige and a huge PR team got dog-walked here. Why would you EVER give this ANY oxygen? Now everybody is asking whether NVIDIA is like Enron! This didn't help at all!
Nvidia refuted accounting questions in a memo to analysts, saying "Unlike Enron, NVIDIA does not use Special Purpose Entities to hide debt and inflate revenue" (Tae Kim/Barron's Online)

I can tell you what's polluting and parching the eastern farmland of Oregon.

(It's the farms)
How Oregon’s Data Center Boom Is Supercharging a Water Crisis

Amazon has come to the state’s eastern farmland, worsening a water pollution problem that’s been linked to cancer and miscarriages.

Watching the admin unravel is satisfying
Is the problem the economic "messaging" or the economic "outcomes"
November 24, 2025 at 10:57 PM
imagine thinking that people can't regard your work as bad
So this is a simplistic, binary, and altogether poor way to approach film analysis. Films aren’t good/bad, they do certain things well and certain things poorly. Rarely will you find a film or any art that does everything right. It’s just degrees of how well some things were accomplished.
i know this will shock a lot of you but movies can actually be bad. like, not bad as in "oh i don't this character's choices or this vibe isn't for me" but bad in "there is no logical connection between the scenes i'm being presented with"
November 24, 2025 at 10:14 PM
On one hand, it's outrageous to go after Mark Kelly for this

On the other hand, I absolutely support the admin going after Kelly for this because it will be amazing to watch
Hegseth is now threatening to recall Sen. Mark Kelly to active duty in order to court martial him.

Report this account for abusive behavior
Twitter accounts are based in Russia. BlueSky accounts are based in homes with, frankly, too many books, plants, obsolete cables, and pieces of rustic pottery, that could do with a bit of a tidying up, to be honest.

Don't kink shame Ed Martin's desire to be humiliated by federal judges
Reminder: It’s really not normal for a senior DOJ official to publicly confirm that DOJ is getting ready to indict someone!

(Not to mention that Mizelle no longer works at DOJ — how exactly does he know “of what he speaks”?)

that's a lot of words to agree with the discourse
the “thanksgiving food is bad” discourse raises its ugly head every year, but the truth remains that thanksgiving food can be amazing as long as you know how to cook. the problem is we’re throwing a few million sunday drivers directly into a grand prix
I think this is unfair to turkey. turkey is good but hard to cook well because it is so damn big. turkey *parts* are great but lack the esthetic appeal of a centerpiece bird.
