Our new exhibit 'Stitching the Nation: Fashion in Times of Turmoil' is now open, looking at how what we wore was affected by the turmoil of the mid-1600s. It includes rare surviving items kindly loaned to us - more details at: cromwellmuseum.org/events/stitc...

We deserve a Democratic Party that is willing to fight as hard as we are.

We need new leadership in this moment and to get there, we need a chorus of support for change. Tell your Democratic senators to call on Senator Schumer to step aside as Minority Leader. It’s time for drastic action.

When CA launched Prop 50, it was polling at 38%. And so, we did it anyway. Winning campaigns requires that your GOALS define your actions, recognizing opinion - including who agrees to vote - is malleable. In other words, be a thermostat, not a thermometer.

!!! oh wow
The Giants are firing coach Brian Daboll, sources say. A promising and frustrating season leads NYG to have an opening.

After another lead evaporated yesterday, Brian Daboll is out.

OC Mike Kafka is interim coach, per me and Mike Garafolo.

Dan Campbell’s finger on the pulse is Detroit Lions’ secret weapon
Dan Campbell's decision to take over calling the offense wasn't desperation. It was a masterclass in leadership that separates good coaches from elite ones.

Dems caving to Republican demands and Trump issuing blanket pardons to basically anyone and everyone else left who either was or was at risk of federal prosecution over January 6th all within a span of 12 hours is a really really really tough pill to swallow.

A more optimistic take then I've seen lately in the sense that the shutdown fight shows that most Dems are starting to become the fighters we want... but we're not quite there yet.

MSNBC reported Schumer's office felt that the longer that shutdown went on, the more likely it was that people would start to blame the Dems.

My kingdom for Democrats that don't govern out of fear. I've said it before and I'll say it again: The American people are far braver than their reps.

"Democratic capitulators whose seats would be filled by Democratic governors in the event of vacancy (Durbin, Fetterman, Kaine, King) should be under immense pressure to resign mid-session. Now, even. Or in Kaine’s case, after Abigail Spanberger is sworn in. If your senator fits that bill, get loud"

"People are pissed," one told @axios.com

Another said there is "near universal frustration."

There's renewed chatter about backing Senate primary challengers — incl. against Schumer. www.axios.com/2025/11/10/d...

50th anniversary of this Great Lakes tragedy, the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.

Its fascinating, and adds to the lore, that there are still multiple freighters of the same type (some of which were with the Fitz on that night, and helped in the initial search) still plying the lakes. More below.
Folks around the Great Lakes: today is the anniversary of the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.

It's hard on the sanity sometimes but I really recommend following every House Dem, on both official and campaign accounts. Some of them are masterful communicators, and as we are looking at getting rid of entrenched senators, there are some who are ready for a promotion in the next possible cycle.
House Democrats are all up and down every social media platform they're on saying to hell with this Senate deal.

They're not having it.

It’s wild to me that this is a radical viewpoint. It’s so deeply human and normal and here we are fighting for it in 2025.
I just want everyone to have the experience of living in dignity with access to sufficient food, safe housing, needed medical care, high quality education, and time to engage with what sparks their curiosity and spirit

this should not be controversial 🫠
