It's not just social media. Looks like visitors to the US from Europe and other countries that are part of the visa waiver program will have to submit an enormous amount of data about themselves and their families, including DNA, if proposed new rules are accepted

Trump has FTD.

"Brain regions impaired in FTD are the ones responsible for self-monitoring, impulse control, and reality-checking.

In FTD, the nerve cell loss is most prominent in areas that control conduct, judgment, empathy and foresight."

DAMMIT It's Not Alzheimer's! Here's Why It's A Far Worse Nightmare Scenario
You deserve the facts, not conjecture. Alzheimer's diminishes a person. Trump's not diminishing, he's escalating, and you need to know the frightening reason why.

I know its easy to look at anything the administration proposes and go "that's insane" but this is like *actually* insane. This is an insane amount of (private) data to demand from someone to come into your country for what may be literally just like two weeks of vacation. This is patently bonkers.

Bring back cancel culture.
I liked Liam Neeson but I am done with super rich public figures promoting anti-vaxx bullshit that will have a impact on the lives of so many.
SCOOP: Academy Award-nominee Liam Neeson narrated a recent anti-vaccine documentary that glorifies RFK Jr.’s rise to power.

In the film, Neeson—a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador—calls the COVID-19 vaccines “dangerous experiments.”

This is just some ordinary dude no one had ever heard of, quietly getting by, and the administration has decided in a fit of pique to hound him for the rest of his life because otherwise they'd have to tacitly admit they're capricious incompetent villains. Just let him live, ffs

It’s funny to watch JD Vance, who’s been catholic for about fifteen minutes, try to tell the Pope how he should run the Catholic Church.
NEW: The Trump-Vance White House has falsely accused an ally of Pope Leo — Sr. Norma Pimentel — of illegal activity tied to migrant aid, and cut off all federal funding to Catholic Charities in Texas.

Church leaders say it’s a targeted, political reprisal against Pope Leo and the Catholic Church.

In cutting off federal funds to Catholic charities in Texas and threatening to cut off federal funding to Indiana if the state Republicans don't vote the way he wants, Trump has managed to create two of the most explosive, impeachable scandals in presidential history in the last twenty four hours.

This is an impeachment offense, and if our press were worth half of a quarter of a shit, it would be all over every single channel, kind of like Joe Biden being a bit slow with a name now and then.
This should be the biggest story in the country right now. The sitting US President was extorting state lawmakers from his own party by threatening to withhold public money if they didn’t gerrymander for him.

I don’t know how else to say it…

I see many citing Tanith Lee as a good fantasy author to replace some tarnished names, which is great, love her, but do be aware she is balls to the wall, knee deep in the genre trenches, not safe for work or safe in any way, a wizard will sexually assault a horse skull and it's only chapter three

When the day comes, I fully expect everything in this state not already named after some other dead racist guy will be named after Trump.
Everyone’s gonna die someday. Trump may die sooner, and when he does, I worry there will be a genuine explosion of violence by people who will be enraged by the celebrations, a deepening of the rift.

Also, when your political strength is built on the idea that no one is allowed to say no to you, being successfully told "no" is potentially very, very bad
Indiana’s Senate has voted AGAINST the GOP gerrymander that’d have locked in a 9-0 map.

This keeps the 7-2 map in place, saving two Democratic seats heading into 2026.

The vote failed big, 19/31.

The MAJORITY of the GOP senators opposed it!
