Well, to be fair, it would take British law enforcement many hours to respond to that shooting in Australia.

I was up in the middle of the night watching Australian news coverage.

They were asking Australians on the street for their reactions, and one of them said that, prior to today, they had only seen mass shootings through American TV footage.

What a shameful and terrible legacy our country has.

What conservatives mean when they say they are "under attack for their views" is that they are being accurately understood as the sort of people who hold the sort of views conservatives hold, and that makes them afraid they will be treated the way conservatives treat those whose views they scorn.
The fact is no presenter has ever had to leave the BBC for expressing conservative views, or even explicitly endorsing a right-wing party.

You can measure the quality of news outlets' political coverage by how often they write headlines starting with the words "Trump says" that don't show any skepticism about what Trump is saying even though he's the most prominent American liar of modern times.

That's why there was such histronics over Mamdani. The right, especially in the Stephen Miller era, does not want people to know that cities like NYC show that people of diverse backgrounds live together and get along just fine.

They want you to believe everyone is as close-minded as they are.

The US Constitution has the feel of a fine colonial mansion now owned by a slum landlord who now rents it out room by room to wild-eyed misanthropic fanatics each with a messiah complex.

Ok, that is a VERY strained figure of speech. But I believe it to be accurate.

The thing you need to understand about the Right is that they are absolutely fine just plain burning down higher education if taking it over ideologically doesn’t work. They’re perfectly happy reducing it to ashes.

Major advertisers appeared to sit out a new CBS News town hall telecast Saturday, moderated by Bari Weiss and featuring an interview with Erika Kirk.

Lack of Madison Avenue support could challenge the viability of the format, which Weiss wants to expand
