Always remember. When a Lost Causer is bringing up Racism in the North or in California they're not concerned with the subject. They're using the subject to minimise or shift focus away from the racism in their own states.
this doesn't mean the South is hopeless, it doesn't mean that we shouldn't keep trying to win elections and fight the MAGAs in the South, but maintaining this fantasy nonsense about how the South doesn't REALLY have a uniquely racist culture in a number of respects is just foolishness

I've thought about that a lot too, but I think the reporters know that any pushback in the moment is going to make it worse, and get them booted from the press pool. Which is a toxic situation, yes.
I’ve been thinking and it’s kind of exceptional that not a single person said “Hey now” after the piggy comment.

Two years and two days ago, a woman delivered some chili to her new neighbors. Everyone was very happy and normal and there were no lasting effects.

Will Trump sign it? Veto it and dare them to overrule it—no, I don’t think he has the guts for that. But he might just let it sit on his desk, hoping DoJ can bring a case against Clinton before he has to sign it.
Trump told Republicans in Congress to vote for the Epstein files bill yesterday. Whatever meaning we want to attach to all but one House Republican voting for it (and its likely passage thru the Senate by unanimous consent), this is not Republicans defying Trump. They're literally following orders.
