A lot of people didn't really understand it until I explained it this way but Schumer et al's public-facing silence on Gillibrand's racism would not have been considered acceptable if the object of said racism wasn't the punching bag of the post 9/11 culture.
I think if one were trying to be as objective as possible we would all agree that if the roles were flipped and Gillibrand had said something so nakedly antisemitic and there were no condemnations....well, I meam.

This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.

For pundits worrying about what we do with ICE, CBP etc thugs after we abolish their organizations, here’s a solution: mass prosecutions then sentence them to live in their own prisons. Same conditions as they’re offering innocent families right now. SOLVED.
ICE has now spent over half a BILLION dollars just on purchasing warehouses around the country to convert into detention camps.
