Old man sings at cloud.

I deeply resent the current regime has me writing protest songs. It’s pretty good though, imo. You should watch the video and do the YouTube interactions (like/comment etc.). First song I’ve written on the baritone ukulele rather than the piano.

there is so much to be glad of, to be grateful for.

the times are evil, the future is uncertain at a fundamental level, the powers of sin and death stand arrayed against all that which seeks the good of this world and those who live in it.

and there is still so much to be glad of.

I mean, let’s face it, AI is politics
which topic is worse for the thanksgiving table this year: politics or AI

the cottage industry of misinfo studies post-2016 was very worried about under-resourced information environments, where lack of literacy and access to high quality news drove conspiracism. meanwhile, the most well-resourced people on the planet were getting pilled on channer content

It’s really funny how a generation will roll its eyes at parents who watch Fox News but doesn’t see why being immersed in Twitter is having the same effect. Lots of serious people show up on Fox News too but that shouldn’t be your primary source on the news.

Down Cemetery Road is not a bad TV show. Nor is it a good TV show. But it is, undeniably, a TV show.

This is entirely reasonable. I would put TLJ in the top slot and lift Rogue One over ROTJ. Never saw Solo. I know Revenge of the Sith has its partisans but I can brook neither the terrible performances nor the Black Knight-in-Monty-Python-ass climactic duel between Anakin and Obi-Wan.
haven’t seen ROS or Solo but this seems like a pretty ball-knowing list from Pritzker, particularly if he volunteered the name “Star Wars” rather than “A New Hope”

I used to love this guy

More seriously, for most of Rogue One I thought it was, you know, fine. But toward the end, when I realized they were really going to have Cassian and Jin die, rather than pull some miracle out of the filmmakers’ ass, it got weirdly happy.
rogue one is bad folks. i have believed this since i saw it in theaters and no subsequent rewatch has changed my mind. basically a chop job until the final sequence, which is good (for star wars)

People will die, and are currently dying, because RFK was granted one of the most powerful megaphones in the country. Two people who could have thrown barriers in front of his climb decided not to; there's a sex scandal here but it is not the biggest scandal.

I think that’s a clear signal of who gets to work in journalism / media and who doesn’t. That you can help elevate a presidential candidate that you’re having a romantic relationship with, advise and strategize for him, and keep your position. But if you so much as post about Gaza then that’s it.

Things to keep in mind about Thanksgiving tomorrow:

1. We stole it from the pagans.
2. If you are the one who carves the roast beast and you are still hungry when you leave the kitchen, you did it wrong.

He DMV folks, especially in suburban MD and upper DC: I accidentally ordered two turkey dinners for 8 from Whole Foods instead of one. Fully cooked turkey, bunch of sides. If you know someone in need, it’s theirs or yours, no questions asked. DM me.

Up through 1777 in the Burns American Revolution series. Both sides’ forces seem really top-heavy? Like, the British but a lieutenant general in charge of 6,000 men?
