This will never be me - I bought an M4 Mac Air just before my book tour - but I think the premise of "device hoarding" here is ridiculous. With every major purchase, buy as well as you can and then use that thing until you can't use it any more. That's just sensible.

Willow is likely correct here. My husband very likely has ADHD. He used to drink tons and tons of coffee to settle his nerves as a marksman. He still drinks copious amounts. Society is a lot less forgiving now a days to the fidgety and cell phones offer endless distraction
saw someone posit it's not that more people have ADHD now it's that everyone who did used to smoke cigarettes as a cheap stimulant and a fidget toy and honestly it's compelling.
