Yes we have. And at 28, she can say no. And if that means mommy-dearest cuts it off so she just has a little courtroom ceremony, so be it. I made m break at 22. It’s hard, but you do it because it IS the only choice. Mommy-dearest ain’t changing.

Telling the daughter to get a spine isn’t victim blaming. It’s the only route through the mess. I say this as the daughter of two overbearing parents, although not quite this bad.
