Delicious to me

They need all protestors to be paid operatives because they cannot abide the possibility that somewhere in the world, people sincerely believe in standing up for others. It isn’t enough that they’ve chased all moral virtue from their own hearts. They want a world where no virtue exists in anyone.
Trump on Renee Good: "When she was shot, there was another woman that was screaming 'Shame. Shame Shame Shame.' So loud. Like a professional opera singer. She was so loud. And so professional. She wasn't a woman that was hurt like, 'Oh my heart is injured.' She was a professional."

AI may or may not excel at a lot of things, but from an economic standpoint, it's definitely not making us more productive.

Norwegian PM Støre says Trump repeatedly raises—complains about, pleads for, and demands—the Nobel Peace Prize every time they meet. Støre gives same answer each time: decision is made independently by Norwegian Nobel Committee, with no role for Norwegian gov—a concept Trump appears unable to grasp.

Finished my first book of the year, The Picture of Dorian Gray. It was good! I particularly enjoyed the character of Lord Henry and his barrage of hot takes. For my modern/twisted sensibilities, Dorian's "sins" were a bit too tame, but the theme of aesthetcism and class remains relevant. 💙📚 #booksky

For non-German speakers:

“Dear media, I can’t stand the headline "No agreement between the US and Denmark” any longer. If an armed man storms a bank, you don't run the headline: "Robber and cashier can't reach an agreement on money transfer." Stop framing imperial aggression as normal diplomacy.”

They need to start freaking out more. The Venezuela raid has apparently left Trump thinking he’s all-powerful and now he wants to do it again and again. Beyond the insanity of running foreign policy on short-term whims, it’s also literally the kind of thing that could set off global war.
Warner: "Nothing would lead to the absolute destruction of NATO more than US aggressive action against a longtime ally like Denmark"

Schumer: "I asked for assurances that they were not planning operations in other countries like Colombia and Cuba, and I was very very disappointed in their answer"
