I don’t think people quite understand that the occupation by ICE in the Twin Cities has more or less erased non-white people from public life. They cannot safely exist in any space accessible to the public and moving between private places leaves folks vulnerable to kidnapping by armed masked goons.

In April 2024, Spotify implemented a new scheme: songs with less than 1k streams per year would no longer receive royalties.

The data for 2025 was just released via Luminate, and 88% of songs have been demonetized.

Read it again: 88% of songs on Spotify have been demonetized.

I’m seeing posts from people (outside of MN) about how US citizens should carry their passports.

And let me say that *inside* MN, we are calmly responding to requests with: “No, I don’t have to show you any documentation.”

Because that’s how you protect everyone, regardless of immigration status.

Read this story and decide if this is the America you want to live in.

ICE saw a Latino man driving a car. Chased him down and rammed him. Just because he wasn’t white.

He was just a guy - an American citizen - driving to the auto shop.

Learning about how FFX's awkward dialogue is because the game would crash if the english audio file was even half a second slower than the Japanese has been amazing for my revisit.

Instead of rolling my eyes, I'm instead impressed at how often they actually nail it with such a bizarre restriction 😅

3️⃣ More of this please
So, if I'm reading this right:

4 prosecutors at the Dept of Justice Civil Rights division quit because the Trump-appointed leadership won't investigate Good's killer,

and

6 from the Minnesota US Attorney's office quit when they were told instead to investigate her widow.

This agency is out of control if leadership is no longer checking violations of constitutional rights. Congress absolutely must step in before more people are kidnapped/killed.
A woman recording an ICE agent tells him "Shame on you."

The agent responds, "Have you all not learned from the past couple of days?"

"Learned what?" she asks

Then he knocks her phone out of her hand

I’ve been thinking about this post quite a bit the past few days. And in light of international threats, the ICE murder in Minneapolis, we Christians would do well remember how much of abolitionist language was rooted in Christian theology and not be afraid to utilize this nowadays.
Progressive Christianity feels absent on stuff like this. We're going to have to get good at calling things sins and offering people the hope of forgiveness and reconciliation.

It feels icky and conservative and maybe it's good that it does (if it stops us from liking it too much) but we haven't

Oh my God SOMEONE IS DOING SOMETHING

FINALLY
I am impeaching Secretary Kristi Noem, who is an incompetent leader and a disgrace to our democracy.

She wreaked havoc in the Chicagoland area and has brought her reign of terror to Minneapolis. One of her rogue ICE agents shot and killed an innocent woman today. It must come to an end.

It’s cute when non-Americans think we can just leave the country and move somewhere else to escape all this, as if their governments haven’t also made their immigration processes just as cruel and slow.

Worth noting that Minnesota Public Radio is NOT doing that. They're interviewing people on the ground, chasing down witnesses and facts, and treating ICE statements with the appropriate amount of skepticism.
Sigh. The NPR national news brief at the top of the hour mentioned the shooting and simply cited the DHS statement.
I truly don't think mainstream journalists in the U.S are prepared to cover state violence
