Reports are still conflicting about whether Biden’s speech was coordinated with Israel or Israel was merely notified about it. In the meantime, after Shabbat ended in Israel, Smotrich and Ben Gvir made it crystal clear that Netanyahu no longer has a government of he accepts Biden’s plan.

This is a very good point that honestly I think hints very strongly at some of the preexisting biases he comes into it with. I can't even say I don't understand that perspective - I sometimes fear I sound that way - but if I was President of the US I would at least fuckin try to actively suppress it

Out of curiosity, has Congress ever previously invited a foreign leader who (a) is under indictment by the ICC and/or (b) presided over a military strike that killed an American?

It looks like Hamas had agreed to this in advance. Still too soon to be optimistic.
Perhaps Hamas has already agreed to the Biden framework. But if not - then I really don't understand the point. Unless he wants this catastrophe to go on till Nov, Biden needs to be able to impose a cease fire on Israel with or without a deal. Tonight's speech would make it more difficult.

I don't know for a fact what the Israeli offer to Hamas (that Hamas rejected) this week includes but I'd be shocked to learn that it corresponds to everything the President said in this speech. He seems to be intentionally mixing components from the offer with the US broader plan 2/
